North
West Argentina - After driving hundreds of
miles on
dirt roads in Bolivia, we gladly welcomed northern Argentina's well
paved roads. The scenery was spectacular. We got to enjoy some great
wines, meat and empanadas. New Year's celebrations were in
Mendoza with more of the great wine and BBQed meat. |

In
the deep south it becomes very windy, dark and undulating until you
enter Tierra Del Fuego where the mountains, forests and lakes return.
The wind stays strong no matter what and only increase out on the
Drake Passage. Black Gold or oil is what draws Argentinians
here.

Buenos
Aires spreads over a huge area, luckily most tourist attractions are
all in a relatively small area in the city center. Although, some great
old architecture peppers the city the overriding feeling is of a tired
city passed its heh day. However, being a large multinational city we
hunted down curries and sushi not found in most of Central and South
America. We also arranged for Hopper to get shipped back to the US.
